New Moon and rambling.

Nothing happened in the days before New Moon.

We enjoyed the excitement and craziness at home and tried to keep ourselves calm until Wednesday finally came. And when it did...

I don't want to spoil anything yet for those who read this and haven't seen the movie yet, but let me tell you this.
It was just fantastic.

And believe me, Eclipse is going to have a hard time beating this one on the awesome scale. Gosh. If Eclipse will be better than this one, I think none of the actors/directors/Twilight Saga people will ever have to work again for the rest of their lives, plus their children's lives, plus their grandchildren's lives, plus... well, you get what I mean. It was utterly amazing.

The thing that amazed me most was that all of the spoilers and trailers I watched were so... wrong. Haha. It's really weird how they did that...
Anyway, another thing that totally blew my mind is that it's almost completely like the book. Like... completely. Even some of the dialogues were the same. I know this because I tried (emphasis on tried) reading New Moon on the 18th before we actually saw it, but I got around half or something because we watched Twilight too.

But seriously. Gah. I can't say anything more. xD
Brilliance. Last word, I promise.

Anyway, today was also pretty cool. Since Peanut is leaving in four days, we gotta hurry and show her more of Belgium!
It was the North Sea and Bruges' turn today, and I can say it was pretty epic.
Watching the sunset at the beach and then driving over to Bruges, seeing it in the evening while every house was decorated with Christmas lights. Yes, beautiful.

When we got home it was after 8 so we ate some quickly prepared food. I wanted pizza. I didn't get pizza. Blah.

Tomorrow is a schoolday, and that sucks because I can't sleep and I have to get up at 6. That means I'm gonna be hella tired when we're going to Ghent tomorrow. *sigh*

Also, I'm warning all of you beforehand, when Peanut leaves on Monday, I will probably not be posting this often anymore due to massive plunge I have to take into schoolwork which I have been foolishly neglecting these past few weeks. Well not all of it, of course, but I seriously need to get going on the studying again.
I thought I'd started pretty good this semester and I did, but since the midweeks were pretty chill, I'm planning on ending it good again. So yeah.
It's for the greater good really, which is me not getting killed by my father before becoming an unemployed bum without a diploma.

I shall leave you with this and bid you adieu.

All of you who haven't seen New Moon yet: You're so gonna love it, and freak out when you see it!
All of you who have seen New Moon yet: AMAZING WASN'T IT? ZOMG.

The London "weekend".

I guess you can't really call it a weekend anymore. A weekend would be... Friday night, Saturday, Sunday. Even Saturday and Sunday. Since we've only been in London from Saturday evening until Sunday evening, which is pretty much a little over 24 hours, calling it a weekend would be an overstatement.

I'm sure you'll find
Peanut's blog about the event as entertaining as I will.

Anyhoo.

The day started pretty early. We all got up at 5/5:30, ready to go at 6. The boat left in France at 8:30 and we had to check in at 8. It's about a two hour drive, so we left right on time.
We arrived at the check-in about ten minutes to eight, so we were pretty happy we made it on time, but our happiness was quickly reduced when we found out there was something wrong with the dog's papers.

The nice, friendly English fellow, who had let us pass immediately, was followed up by a bald, mean, annoying, French idiot.

Apparently, the dog had to be vaccinated between 24 and 48 hours before departure. It was the 14th. On the dog's paper it said, 12th. It was 8 AM. (These factors are very important if you want to get where the mean baldy had been too stupid to figure out.)
At his paper, it said "date/time". Unfortunately, our vet had forgotten to fill in the time and we hadn't noticed.
Still.
Think about it.
48 hours tops... 8AM... 14th... 12th...
He said: "12th could also mean at 2AM in the morning, and that is above 48 hours."

That may be so, but why in the world would we be so stupid to get our dog vaccinated at 2 AM in the morning while doing it the day after is more accurately and easy?

Yet, the man's brain had probably been blocked somewhere in his logical thinking area, and he didn't let us pass. What he did however (how nice of him) was give us an address of the closest veterinarian in Calais, where we had to go to, let the vet in Belgium fax through the correct information (that it was done at 4 PM in the afternoon like normal people) and THEN we could come back.

Thank you so much mister asshole, we'll get right on that.

We did what he told us, but missed the boat, so we had to take the next one. This time, we DID get through, and we got the boat at 10:10 AM. Now, you might think, two hours, that's not too bad. They still have some time left on Saturday in London.

Well think again! When we arrived at Dover, the captain let us know that he couldn't get to the port since it was such bad weather and the wind wasn't going the right way. Dover port had closed.
So we would have to wait about an hour. Everyone waited, yet an hour later, he let us know that we would have to wait for yet another two hours.

This continued quite a while, and altogether, we were stuck on the boat for eight hours in total. Normally a boat from Calais to Dover takes about an hour and a half.
We arrived in England at 6PM.
Mind you, we couldn't get in because the weather was so bad, but we were still STUCK AT SEA in such bad weather! So the boat was rocking and shaking and water was splashed at the windows and I was terrified.

If the French guy at Calais had been so kind and told us "I know you probably let the dog get his vaccination on time, let me just fill in the time so you won't have any trouble in the UK", we would never had gotten into this. Never. Ever. Ever.
So thank you LOADS French dude of whom I do not know the name.

We arrived at the hotel in London at about 8, and quickly sped to the city after checking out our rooms. We just saw Picadilly Circus and Oxford Street and grabbed a bite in one of the cozy restaurants. (Pizza... it was delicious!)

Fortunately, Sunday was a grand success, as we went from one place to another, seeing so many stuff and walking so many miles that it should have been a record. We saw Tower Bridge, London Bridge, London Eye, Kensington Gardens, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Portobello Road and probably so much more but I can't seem to remember it all even though it was yesterday... Anyway, we saw loads.

London really is beautiful. It sucks that we had so little time...

All the photos should be available for everyone HERE! Not sure whether the London ones are already there, but they will be soon!

Anyway, we took the boat back at nine, and arrived one hour and a half later in France (MIRACLE!). We drove and drove and drove back home and got here around 2 AM, where I found myself passing out in bed exhausted ten minutes later.

And so, here I am, blogging about our crazy adventure in the North Sea.
Please don't let anything like that ever happen to me again.

~~~
Letter Writing Contest
I have been forced to join this silly letter-writing contest in our school with the theme "To My Fellow Filipinos - Uplifting the Filipino Spirit.". I just finished it! o.o And time check brought to you by Starbucks, it's like 2am XD
Yes, yes, yes, I am alive, and I AM VERY VERY busy with stupid University so no, don't expect any more posts from Sade. (audience: YAY!) Ehem.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help critic the stupid thing as HARSHLY as you can.. Being a sadist, I enjoy being downgraded and having my work shred to bits. So be as brutally, painfully honest as you can and help disappoint me and crush my hopes and dreams. (Although I have none SINCE I was forced in joining this thingy)
And oh, how be you Soetkin?
~Sade
P.S. I JUST read Pride and Prejudice. And I DARE SAY Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth are fucking AWESOME. Totally reading old/classic/periodical novels now for the first time in my life because of that. o.o Update later. REMEMBER, BE HONEST!
To My Fellow Filipinos
Do you remember when our ancestors sacrificed their own lives in the simple belief that we, the Filipino people, could stand on our own? Do you remember Marcos’ regime, how we fought for democracy, for our Inang Bayan, and literally made history?
Of course you do. So why don’t we care?
Why are you stealing from your own country? Why are you content in being simply known as Manny Pacquiao’s country? Have we not fifty times more to offer?
Why do you hide behind your powers in office and knowingly abuse your fellow men; your own brothers, your own sisters, your own BLOOD?
Why do you commit acts of atrocities; kidnapping, beheading fellow Filipinos, innocent tourists, old missionaries? No matter how much you kill, you will NEVER gain power, the wealth in which you seek. No matter how much you hate and complain about our current state, admit it, most of us have done nothing relevant to help prevent it. You try to act when there are issues, yet you often lose interest because of being ningas kogon. Brothers, sisters, we need to act whilst there is still TIME.
You have prejudices on Ilokanos, Bisdak, Tagalogs, Ilongos, Waray, Muslims, Taglish. Yet when will you realize you are actually making fun of a Filipino, of YOURSELVES. Can not you see that you are worth MORE than what everyone thinks? What everyone assumes you to be?
Hypocrisy. Pride. Prejudice. Cowardice. Ignorance. STOP! These are NOT your values.
Indeed, one is obliged to love his or her country and be proud of whom he or she is, but at our current state, it’s unfortunate to say that the bad times outnumber the good. Often times, people, young and old, like I, can not help in feeling embarrassed or disappointed in being a Filipino. That is a fact. But a fact that you can CHANGE.
The world has virtually left you behind. I am sick of the dozen ‘revolutions’ that lead to nowhere, of our deaf leaders, of false hope and promise, of being an object of ridicule amongst foreign jokes, and of my fellow youth who is content in being NO ONE.
Aren’t you?
I alone can’t fully enhance the authentic Filipino that our heroes have tried so hard to attain and preserve for centuries. YOU and I, WE need to do it for the Filipino is at stake. The true Filipino is in a threat of extinction.
THINK. What is important? Aling Dionisya’s issues? Or the need for UNITY, REAL BAYANIHAN between rich and poor, TRUE PEACE amongst Muslims and Christians?
You need to start to love and accept who and what you are, the children of the marriage of the West and the East; for no one else can help you gain perspective but yourself.
Always remember that your existence as a Filipino is, in itself, a cause for celebration. You alone can show the world that Rizal, Bonifacio, Aguinaldo, Silang, Aquino, and all our bayanis did not die in vain, that they were right in believing that YOU are destined for greatness and potential, whichever part of the Philippines you were born.
If you can be so good and great during Ondoy, then you are capable of being GREATER even if there is no state of calamity. Do not wait for tragedies to happen to give you a cause for action.
Brown, White, Poor, Rich, Muslim, Christian, MILF, NPA, Abu Sayaf, Fil-Am, Chinoy, Josenian, Carolinian, UPian, Home-schooled, Farmer, Businessman, OFW, Man, Woman, Homosexual, Old, Young; we are ALL Filipinos, Filipinos who have lost sight of themselves, their purpose.
So before our values completely disappear, before we forget who we are, what we stand for, let us act now. REALIZE our issues and BE the TRUE Filipino our heroes have died for.
The road ahead is still long, and very difficult, but you are not alone. WE must have faith in God. In THE FILIPINO.
My fellow Filipinos, we WILL get there, towards a higher purpose, towards our goal. I hope you will realize all of this and I wish you all the luck in the world.
Let us make history once more.
YES WE CAN.
God bless you always.
(By Sade Andria Z. Braza)
P.S. Uh, Soetkin, or Steve, could you like add the counter link for me if it's already working? THANKS. MISS YOU BOTH.
YES YES YES, I realize it is not very inspiring. What can I say? I hate my own race XD
I told the person who basically harassed me to join that, "I DON'T want to join, I HATE the Filipinos." And she was like, "Fine, then write "Dear Filipinos, I hate you" just join."
SO there you have it. It might not BE as inspirational as the rules WANT, but I'm still somehow honest with it, and no way am I sucking up more than that to something I dislike >.< And basically don't believe in. You could say this is just for the sake of compliance so I don't care if I don't even win or get printed LOL.
P.P.S UPON MUCH prodding from my boyfriend, I've edited the entry and made it as inspirational as I possibly could without sucking up -.- Sigh. Fail.
P.P.P.S. ZOMFG WE JUST REACHED THE 1000 MARK OF VIEWERS!
Thank you so much to all our viewers AND readers AND commenters! (No, it's not a real word) We appreciate your support!
Virtual cake-y goodness for you as a token of our super gratitude! THANK YOU once again for reading our blog, though I'm quite sure you prefer me to shut up, and I hope you'll continue to support us, read us, comment, and spread the word!
God bless you! Enjoy!
Amsterdam, Daniel Johnston & new shoes.
As I'm currently watching "Over The Hedge", I can't promise this entry will make much sense.
Wednesday was a lot of fun. We went to Amsterdam, and to Den Bosch, which is also a place in the Netherlands. We didn't get to stay long but still, shopping is always fun. There was a market where we bought scarves and shoes... while my brother was sighing and coughing all the time for us to leave one of the stands... he's not really a slow shopping fan.
After that we went to the old city of Amsterdam, with all the canals and such. Very beautiful... Although it was freeeezing (according to me).
Anyway, Amsterdam pretty much contains of canals and so called houseboats. Basically those are boats, not used for sailing, but to live in. Pretty awesome! And there were a lot of pretty ones. I wouldn't mind living on one of those for a while, when I'm old or something. Cozy, nice, close to the city but still calm. Sounds nice.
After that, we found the car and drove to Den Bosch, where we were gonna catch a concert by Daniel Johnston, overall considered one of the greatest songwriters in the world. Don't know him? Look him up! Check him out! NOW!
That's an order.
First we ate in the restaurant of the culture center where we had ordered the tickets. That was one heck of a dinner. Lasagna with a salad, and chocolate pie with ic e cream as dessert. :D Be jealous!
Anyway, the concert was brilliant. I never knew much of him stuff and had never seen him live but that has definitely changed now. Amazing. I got a T-shirt ... woot. Even my mom bought a T-shirt... We were with four people, and we bought five T-shirts, a CD and a drawing. o.o Yeah, I know, we're fcking weird.
After that we drove back home and went right to bed because it was pretty late.
Thursday was a chill day. We didn't do anything and just sat around and hung out. Not much to tell there... Between all of the excitement, relaxdays are a must, seriously.
Today (Friday), we pretty much chilled too. Well, we cleaned up a bit, since we're leaving for London tomorrow morning, and my mom wanted the house to be a bit clean. Then we went with my mother to her sheepherding business with the dog... I think Peanut enjoyed watching it, as much as I get bored watching it over and over again.
Visit to the vet next, to make sure Jessie (=dog) could get into England.
Aaand, after that, we stopped by a shoe store to get me some sneakers since I couldn't find anything I liked on the market. Well, I could, but they didn't have anything in my giant shoe size, the one I inherited from my father, thank you very much dad.
Then we went to the grocery store for food, and I (finally) bought the Twilight DVD. I think I'm the only Twilight fan on our forum that didn't have the DVD until today. Well, I wanted the 2 disc, and they didn't have it until now so yeah and since my mom didn't buy it on Amazon... oh well. I have it now, and that's all that matters hahah. Yay!
Home, and french fries and hamburgers were eaten. A legit home-made McDonalds dinner. And it was goooooood!
Since we have to get out of bed tomorrow at like, 5 AM to catch our boat to Dover, we're all going to bed pretty soon. More news when I get back from London.
Apologies for incoherent entry, again. I'm tired. Goodnight.
Dumb dumb dumb. And some fun times!
So gah. I was going to write this post today, well actually I did, and I had this giant entry ready to just.... click on "Post to sadistchild" and I was going to, when somehow, some way, this idiotic thing happened where I accidentally hit a wrong button and the whole thing was... gone.
So I'll just have to write a new entry, right now at almost 1AM while I should be sleeping since I have to get up pretty early tomorrow to go to Amsterdam. Although, the text I had written earlier today was pretty incoherent, because I was watching Family Guy while I was writing it, so the whole deleting of the text thing might have just been a sign from God to tell me there's no way in hell I should put something that badly written on the internet like that, where just everyone can see it. Thank you God, for letting me know in such a harsh, and unexpected way.
I will try and be as accurate as possible as to what I had written down before, but I'll doubt it would work. This will probably turn out to be a lot shorter due to my laziness. Whenever I lose something, I usually don't take the time to start over, but knowing that a few people are actually looking forward to reading these awful things, I decided to try again anyway. Mind you, if this fails (which it won't have, if you're reading this), I won't try again. That sentence was pretty useless.
Also, if you wanna know more details about what we did and what Peanut thought about all this stuff, check her blog
here! It's really good. And don't forget to comment!
So... I think I started on Friday.
Friday we didn't do a lot since Peanut still had some jetlag to recover from. We just baked cupcakes (donutcupcakes, and believe me, they taste as good as they sound like) ... and my mom baked corn bread that Peanut had brought from the US. Dear God that stuff is so good. US people, if you want to make a fortune, export this stuff into Belgium. You will not regret it. I think you'll be pretty much loaded for the rest of your life with just the money my mother would pay for it. She was addicted to it, and she ate tons of it. She's gonna try and find a store here that would sell these things, because she loves it so much. But I don't mind at all. Maybe if she would eat so much, she would get fatter, which is always good. No one in the world should have to be fatter as their mother. No one.
Saturday was... Antwerp day! We went sightseeing which was also pretty epic for me since I hadn't seen any of the stuff there as well. Sorta weird when you think about it because Belgium is so small, you'd think we would at least have been everywhere once. Well, apparently not. Before I went to school there, I think I probably wouldn't have actually been there more than three times. =/
So, we saw this little castle thing. I decided to post this picture because you can't see us very clearly on it, and to me that's always a plus. The vaguer, the better.
That was pretty fun. After seeing some cathedrals and churches (people who have me on facebook can see all the photos there by the way), we went shopping. Peanut found an amazing coat we both looked pretty good in, but she didn't want to buy it because it was so expensive. Instead, I bought it. I felt bad, and still do... so please Peanut, when you get to America again, buy the coat there. Preferably with your parents' money.
Can I also just mention that the H&M is the best clothing store in the world? Or well, compared to the ones I've been to. I can never ever find just regular, normal T-shirts again. On Saturday, I think I bought 7 or 8. Thank you H&M, for being so great and awesome in having T-shirts. All the other stores have stupid stuff that's printed on, or something special about them. No thanks, I prefer my clothes to be comfortable and simple prettiness.
On Sunday we chilled again... I think. We met up with some friends of mine at my High School town, and we had a total blast. I really appreciated my friends being so kind and taking the effort of speaking English mostly the entire time. Hereby, thank you my awesome friends if you ever get to read this (I doubt you will). I love you forever.
Then... Monday, we went to school. It was English Lit and English Grammar, so Peanut could follow the entire thing. It was cool, but unfortunately I got like, an unexpected test, on which I hadn't done the reading, so I could only fill in the stuff I remembered from high school about Shakespeare. It won't be very good, but I'll consider it a valuable lesson to do the reading next time... hopefully... if I remember.
Another test was this English Proficiency level test, to see how good you were as a non-native speaker. Ha, that was funny. It was really easy, yet Peanut got through the questions so fast... I wanted to keep up with her, so I hurried through them so rapidly that I just know I got some of the questions wrong by just not paying enough attention to them. It wasn't on marks anyway so that's a plus.
Monday night we went to a Flaming Lips concert, which is by the way one of the best concerts I've been to. And that says a lot, since I've had my fair share of concerts in my life... seriously. Those guys really know how to throw a party! Balloons, confetti.
I really recommend going to one of their concerts, even if you don't know them at all. It was just one hell of a party in there. I love them. Thank you Flaming Lips for making my entire week.
And today (Tuesday, well it's after midnight so Wednesday but who cares), we stayed in bed until like, noon. I overslept for school so I just didn't hurry and continued to having this horrible nightmare. Yeah, it was awful, because I kept getting followed by this guy but I kept trying to kick him and beat him so he would go away but for some reason I was really weak in my dream and had no power whatsoever in my fists. Like, nothing at all. OR he was just amazingly strong. Still, bad dreams suck.
My mom was supposed to take us sightseeing to Ghent today but she wasn't feeling well, so after we had lunch we just did nothing all day. And after dinner (during which I got upset because we were going to be late) we met up with some friends in Ghent. It was really cool because first we went to a chocolate bar (omg, YUM) and then we went to a regular bar where we just chatted about... politics, school funding, religion....... yeah the usual bartopics. o.o
Then I came home and am now writing this. And I should go to bed. Goodbye lovely readers, if there's more than one of you, and be sure to check out the Flaming Lips.
Meme.
Well, apparently, there is something in the world called "Meme". I had no idea what it is, until one of my dear friends blogged about it, and I thought, hey why not join all the fun? (By the way, you should all check her blog out HERE )
So the basic principle is... Someone (or more people) replies to the journal entry with "WORDS" and I reply to your post with five words that remind me of you. You have to blog about those words and tell them what they mean to you. Since I got my five words today I thought to just do a blog about them, and another one tonight about what I did today and yesterday. So keep your eyes open for that one!
Anyway, the words I got were...
Twilight
I was positive she was going to say this one... She saw me buying two gigantic posters, and in the few short times we met this schoolyear, I've talked about Twilight a few times. Or maybe more than a few times... Anyway, it's safe to say it has become a bit of an obsession, but in a completely healthy kind of way, I promise. Healthy obsessions are my trademark.
She even gave me "The Robert Pattinson Album" for my birthday, which is an awesome book by the way. I've learned more about him since I've actually been a Twifan. Odd!
Plus, Twilight just changed my life in the most fantastic way possible. It's really been amazing, but I think I mentioned all that a few blogs earlier.
Peanut
Yeah, I should have known... I am in love with peanuts, and peanut butter, and just... yum! I'm surprised she remembered that.
But yeah, I'm just kidding. Even though I adore peanuts, it still meant something else. For example the person that is sitting on my couch this very moment, relaxing, listening to some calm music. Okay forget that, she just moved to my bed.
HA, no idea where this word came from though. Well, I've got an idea, but it's not that Peanut has been a huge part of my life, even though it seems like it. We could be sisters!  Anyway, I've only known her since... June, or something along those lines, so it's pretty weird seeing her define me like this... haha.
I've met her through the Twilight world, so that's one of the things that changed my life. I've never had an American person living in my house, so it should help with my grammar/pronunciation/anything really. It's amazing having her here though, not just because of those reasons. Someone traveling half across the world for another person you just met on the internet, is pretty amazing, and a huge event. It's been awesome so far, and let's hope we'll keep it that way!
Theater Fanta
I. Love. This.
When we went to the theatre in Sint-Niklaas when we were younger, we always got Fanta, because it did something to us... it really did. Every time we drank the Fanta there, we went nuts. Like, seriously nuts. It was as if we got drunk or something. We joked around  a bit and told each other that the theatre people did something in it.
The first time that was acceptable, but the second time we started suspecting something. Maybe it actually wasn't Fanta at all...
But yeah, it was probably just all in our heads, I realize that now. That makes more sense.
BSO - middle school
Ah, the good old middle school.
We met here. I loved going there, and I really miss those days. Not that I don't love university, because I do. But everything was just way simpler there. I was such a weirdo though. But we both were, and that's why we became best friends. There were some rough patches, of course, but we always made up. Even now, after all those years of silence after middle school and the first years of high school, we still made up. (Very relieved, very happy.)
Buffy
Well yes, obviously. This was one of my healthy obsessions that we shared... I think it was the actual first thing we both liked, the thing that "brought us together", so to speak.
We used to play Buffy on the playground, and fought about who could have Angel as a boyfriend. Ahh, good times.
We had an "Angel file", in which we kept Angel/David Boreanaz pictures, and formed them into a story based on the way he was looking. That was just, fabulous. I can still remember most of the pictures. I wonder what happened to that file. We must have misplaced it in one of the kindergarten classes and there's probably now a little kid drooling over his picture. It probably became one of the hidden stack of fun things between all the toys, and is given from 5 year old to 4 year old, with a vow to keep it hidden from the teachers forever. I can imagine.
So, those were my five words .:] You all know so much more about me now... haha.
I'll keep you posted tonight! Going to a Flaming Lips concert now.
A Belgian and American mix.
Ohhhmygod, Peanut's here!
This is so so so cool.
It's really weird though. I feel like we've been friends foreeeever, but in fact we've only known each other since... June. O_o
Chilling in my room now, and it's pretty awesome.
Today wasn't THAT eventful yet, apart from the fact that I just met one of the coolest people on the planet.
Anyway, I arrived way too late at the airport, or like, 15 minutes late, and she was already there... and we went home. We were like "ooh heyyyy *hugsss* immediately. It wasn't awkward at all!
For some reason she noticed my mom before I did. That kinda freaked me out.
Wanna know why we were late? I'll tell you why. The. Stupid. Train. Service.
The train service staff decided to do a damn strike today. TODAY. On a weekday, when it's very important for us to go to places! GRR. This is why I absolutely hate public transport. So damn annoying.
Seriously, it's an economic crisis for everyone. People are getting fired everywhere. They should do their work properly instead of doing nothing at all if they want to be able to keep their stupid jobs.
Because everyone had to go by car today, the traffic was unbearable.
Things like this piss me off.
Back to activities...
We played a boardgame with my bro and mom Peanut had never heard of... (the one from my last post) and apparently, we had to teach her to count! :D Nah, okay, it wasn't that bad. XD
I won though, finally. It's a game based on luck but still... it's nice to win, and it sucks to lose (like my brother did).
My mom just had to show off with her dog and the dogtricks she can do.... wasn't surprising, so I was prepared for that phase in Peanut's arrival and getting to know everyone.
What I wasn't prepared for, however, was my mom suddenly showing baby pictures of me... like... what the hell? That was of no relevance whatsoever to this situation. My mom's weird.
But she's a lot friendlier when there are visitors, so no big deal. I'm cool with it.
Even though I know it's all a sham. xp
So we walked the dogs and my mom did some frisbee stuff like she always does.
It was raining so we went home kinda soon.
Then we peeled potatoes for our delicious dinner we had. It was aaawesome.
Night ended with weirdo old fantasy movie with crappy special effects, Belgian (= good) beer, and oreos!
Shall update with news quite soon.
Haven't had much to say atm, my apologies for the short post today. :(
I wish you all my best, and a great day.
Halloween Fools'
Boo to the non-awesomeness that is the end of Halloween season, and thus, the end of my semester break.
School is going to start tomorrow SO BLAAAAHHHH. Hasn't ANYONE burned down that so-called 'University' yet? ._.'
Oh, about the Soetkin photo-birthday thing. I have never edited something SO FAST in my life! Soetkin was about to go offline for good, and I hadn't edited the photos yet which were taken 2 days before her birthday. So since she was upset and wouldn't just stay without being suspicious. I wanted it to be a FULL surprise so I lied I had something "very important" to tell her and that I was "upset" and "crying" and needed a full 10 minutes at least to type out a paragraph, and that she should wait for me to finish typing it. Well, she did XD Fooled you! Halloween-birthday-fools' :P
Anyway, to take away my University blues, I shall talk about the awesomeness that is my first ever Halloween party :))
Yep. My first. I've never ever ever attended a Halloween party before. My country doesn't celebrate trick-or-treating either so no paradise-like memories for me on Halloween *tear*
Therefore, I am not a Halloween virgin anymore. Haha :))
And this is NOT the type of Halloween Party that you, NOR I, expected so READ.
So I was on my computer (GEEK!), doing normal geeky-internet-addict things, when my friend and former High School classmate, Gianna, sent me a general message at about 3 in the afternoon.
"Please come to my birthday party this 7pm Blahblahblahblahblahblah PLEASE WEAR HALLOWEEN COSTUME!"
I went like O_O;
It was THREE! I was on FACEBOOK! I hadn't taken a shower in DAYS YET!
It wasn't even her birthday, really. Her birthday was on the 30th, but she was away at University and just got back to our hometown so she wanted to celebrate late.
I could've raided my mom's closest. But my brain was in sloth mode, so my creative powers were inactive. I couldn't think of anything to go as, or any clothes that I or she owned that'd help me out!
I called some friends and they said they were going to meet each other at my other HS classmate's, Nova, house. And that they already had costumes in mind but they were also scramming around because of the little time!
I had NO CHOICE but to call my mother who was out, and ask for her help. Which I hate. Since she always has something unnecessary and annoyingly negative to say when she chooses my outfit. Anyway, she came home and said I should be a vampire and handed me this icky black dress-pants ensemble. I dunno what those shiznits are called. But they're like, a tank top and pants or shorts fused into one as a 'dress'. WEIRD.
She then got a SUPER LONG shexay black gown. That I thought was too loose for me.
THEEEEEEEEEN she suggests I go as Sadako -.- Then as Tomb Raider. I was like BAH EFF IT. I'm going as vampire. Or Morticia? Or vampire? Or black lady? Or Morticia?! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH MORTICIA AS A VAMPIRE. THERE!
But what I'm gonna do with my face?! I have no black make-up! I DUNNO HOW TO DO MAKE-UP!!!!
Mother was like BLAHBLAHBLAH figure it out yourself. I was sooooooooooo pissed off >:( If you're gonna agree to help someone out, might as go along for the whole ride! BAH WHATEVER. Don't get me started on that.
Anyways, I almost didn't go to the party since I was so pissed off. Also, I didn't have any fangs and had no time to buy them.
Soetkin said, and I quote, "So? Just RAWR at them from time to time."
Then I made up my mind it was probably going to be sad if I missed out on it, and then I called my grandfather and asked for money to buy make-up from the store.
So I showered while a help of ours rushed to buy black eyeshadow and liner.
*Sigh* As expected, the long gown didn't fit my boobless figure.
Hoorah for my bro's nanny that she was able to sneakily tie up the back straps in tiny knots to make the outfit fit! :D
I looked so kick-ass haha.
I figured it'd be CRAZY and weird to go out and ride a tricycle wearing what I wore and with my uber dark make-up, so I made my bro's nanny and him go with me. XD People were probably going WTF at my floor-length dress. Thankfully, I encountered no one on the dark, empty road. I might've given them a heart attack.
I arrived at Nova's house so I let my bro and his nanny go home. But not before my bro loudly protested by crying XD Awww, he showed some kind of 'love' for me. :')
Inside Nova's house, I put black eyeshadow below her eyes. Jen, another HS classmate, was also there dressed as a mangkukulam or what would be a sort-of witch-who-gives-our-curses (not the cussing kind) in English. Best costume I tells ya!
Nova then offered to put 'blood' trickling from my mouth by smearing my chin with red lipstick.
I'm sure the tricycle driver for the ride towards the hotel was very amused. (Since, again, we don't celebrate Halloween here)
On the way, the three of us kept gushing about how funny and exciting this was since it was our first time to have this sort of party. We were also excited to know what Gianna was going to wear, guessing many awesomely costumes.
We arrived at the hotel, and met up with a guy classmate who only brought a mask.
We thought we caught a glimpse of Gianna by the door in a flower dress.
I immediately guessed she may be going for Hawaiian or as a fairy. Upon closer inspection, however, my theories were proven wrong.
She came over to us, laughing really hard. And we stared at each other in horror.
We were the only ones 'dressed' for the so-called Halloween costume party. Why? Because there was NONE. She totally pranked us! Gah! Meanie :( I even texted to ask if one really had to wear a costume.
She was dressed in a normal dress, and she wasn't really expecting anyone to go through with her text message request -.-
And there were lots of people we knew from school there in chic, casual outfits ._. Nice.
Well we went inside at waited for the others to arrive. We dared not TELL everyone else, our HS classmates, about what happened.
Thankfully, three others who were invited arrived in full costume. NYAHAHAHAHA.
So instead of Happy Halloween, I was bitch-slapped with a HAHAHAPPY Halloween Fools'.
Grr.
More thankfully, there was a chocolate fountain, or else I would've lost my sanity x)
But in the end, it turned it to be in all good fun! The night went on surprisingly nice. Gianna and another classmate who had promised to wear a costume but didn't, agreed to have themselves 'made-over' by us. One of us did their make-up. Nothing really special, though. Just some really thick eyeliner. Meh.
The night progressed into full photoshoot mode STAT after dinner :))
We're really LOLZ when a camera is near, especially since one of us brought along an SLR (those huge cameras that paparazzi use). In High School, our English professor had labeled our class as 'The Barbarians' since we were probably one of the MOOOST nosiest class, ever. :')
So it'd be of no surprise that we're equally really just as noisy now, still. Especially since we often insist in sitting in just one table, or lots of tables fused together XD
People sometimes stare at us. But give someone a camera and point it at us and it's as if someone died, and everybody went into shock.
*Elmer Fudd voice* It's veeeeeewwy vewy quiet. It's like:
BLAHBLBLAHNOISENOISEBLAH!!!!!!!!
Someone: Guys, picutre!
Silence...
Someone: Ok! Got it!
BLAHBLBLAHNOISENOISEBLAH!!!!!!!!
We also have this thing in which in certain situations, someone says, "Ok, this is the last shot."
*photographs*
Someone says, "Ok another one, last." *photographs* Someone says "Ok ok seriously. Just one last shot." *photograph* Someone says, "Last last last!!!"
XD
Ah, High School :')
Rather than yap to all of you in explicit glory all about the night, I'll just post some photos :D
So if you have facebook, *salesman voice* don't forget to comment and like!
When we arrived.
This would be Gianna :))
Just like how Soetkin taught me to.
I LOVE her horns :))
This is we. If you're wondering how come there's only so few if we're supposed to be a whole class, this is because others were not able to attend since some were in school whilst some had moved.
On the ride home, the tricycle couldn't go up a steep hill, so the boys had to get off and push. Then had to run to get back inside. :))
While inside tricycle, Jen attempts to take a photo that would include me (who is in the front seat) and her and Jefner at the back. FAIL! :)) Bungotz means beard in Filipino. It's a Filipino joke thang XD
Oh, note, when I said classmate in this post, I mean former :) I'm too lazy to add former before every 'classmate'.
This will probably be my last post in many weeks or even months to come. Due to school, I probably won't get to be online again except on Facebook (which is the fastest/easiest site to access there) and on Google. Like last semester when I couldn't even reply to Soetkin's emails for MONTHS since of long gaps between my internet-period-using days, *sigh* So just pretend I'm dead, mmmk? Shouldn't be too hard, I'm sure.
And I'd like to thank ALL OF THE PEOPLE who viewed and commented on my Love, Jazz and Anorexia photoshoot on Facebook! With just 25 photos and a short amount of time, there has been 388 comments on just the album itself, and 748 comments for all the photos, bringing a total of 1,136 comments! THAT'S CRAZY! O.O Like, 4 times the amount of my last shoot! Although the likes are only about 18 on the album, so maybe none of you really liked it? XD Whatevs, Thank you so much! ~<3
Also, remember to comment and or like these on Facebook :)) To view more photos, just click here!
Nov. 1st, 2009
BTruck
19th milestone.
So... You may or may not have heard (I'm guessing may since Sade has turned the world upside down for the last 24 hours), it was my birthday today. Again, I'd like to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday today, it was awesome to hear it from so many people. :]
I didn't do anything special or anything, but I still had some good fun today.
Normally, until about a year ago, I would invite friends over for Halloween (yesterday) and we would go trick or treating, and gather an enormous amount of candy. I have no idea why I stopped doing that, I always had a blast...
This year I realized way too late my birthday was coming up, and I was too late to send everyone invitations and get everything ready. Sucks. And on the 1st of November itself, today, family would come over and give me my yearly piggy bank-filling goodies.
So when I didn't throw my Halloween party, I thought the family coming over was still something to look forward to.
Yet.... *sigh* my father has some inexplicable grudge against my mom's side of the family, and a huge dispute with his side of the family, and no one was invited to come over this year.
*gasp*
Aaaanyhow. There are still three other people in this house I could try and have a good time with on my birthday. And I apologize in advance for the giant amount of pictures in this post.
First, lunch. (Yeah no breakfast, I slept in late until noon, oops.)
We had sandwiches and pistolets, ha. In Flanders, sandwiches aren't the sandwiches you know in other countries. These are sandwiches and pistolets. It's like... sort of custom to have them on a Sunday morning or for brunch or something.
I assume the pistolets are like bagels but without the hole in it. Besides that we also had Danish pastries, and I guess you all know what those look like. Just in case you don't, and to make you jealous, here's a picture.
Sooo anyway, after that, I came and checked my email and Facebook, and I discovered Sade putting a lot more ads to force people into wishing me a happy birthday than she did yesterday. Hoorah for Sade. XD Seriously, she's like, the ultimate friend! The best friend in the whole wide world... the... *thinks of more things to say* ... the awesomest person alive!
Look what she did for me (I even started crying, no joke):
[I was going to just post the picture, but then I realized Sade might not appreciate me posting pictures of her on the internet randomly, so I'll just post the link and those who have her on Facebook can check it out. You probably already have but those who haven't, here's the link:
www.facebook.com/home.php ]
After I had replied to the numerous FB wall posts and text messages (thank you all again, you rock), I went downstairs to round up my family for a boardgame, lol.
I looked up the name of the boardgame in English, but it doesn't exist. Apparently they call it with the original German name "Mensch, ärgere dich nicht", which means, "dude, don't get annoyed." Haha. I love the game though. It can take forever but it can be over pretty soon too, I love it. I always get annoyed though, which IS the purpose of the game. Stupid game, lol. Anyway, my mom won but I came in second and my brother lost. My dad didn't play because he's working *sigh*. Anyway, after that we played snakes and ladders, which I won two times, woot! (I feel so pathetic, most people do much more exciting things on their birthdays.)
I wanted to play poker too but they weren't in for that, meh! Poker rocks... ! I'll play that with some friends though, probably, later.
Around 4 PM we decided to eat the cake my mom bought.... and seriously. You have noooo idea whatsoever how it looked like, but you will soon! It's like... woah!
She bought me the most yummy cake ever. She said she was going to bake one herself, but when she saw this in the bakery, she just HAD to buy it.
I even told her it was really too bad that Peanut wasn't here today to enjoy the marvelous chocolate cake, but she said they'll maybe have it some other day too when she's actually here. So Peanut, don't fret, I promise we'll check the bakery again for this particular cake when you're here!
See how happy I am? And see how giant that piece is??? I didn't eat it entirely, in case I should throw up afterwards, but it's waiting for me in the fridge for... probably tonight. I'll eat that Ben & Jerry's ice cream some other day. *shrug*
As for my futher activities, I came back to my computer to thank some more people. After that I got a phonecall from Cristy, who lives in Ecuador, and had been so kind to call me due to not being able to come online today, hereby, thank you Cristy!
Since that cake was so incredibly huge and heavy, we ate dinner pretty late. Like... around 9ish. Maybe it was 10 already... anyway, we had awesome pizza.
But between the cake and dinner I played some computergames with my bro, and watched TV, sat in the couch, listened to music, wrote some on my book. Yeah, pretty relaxing stuff. Since it's Sunday AND a holiday today, NOTHING whatsoever is open so today is pretty much a non-going out day for me. That's why I invite friends over on Halloween, except I didn't this year. :/
Anyway, chilling is cool too. Especially while playing Super Mario World. Yaaay! I can't wait to see my friends next week! And Peanut, who's coming over in only FOUURRRR days! (Yes, I'll keep mentioning you until you're actually here. XD But probably after that too.)
Then my mom started making pizza dough and pizza sauce, and I helped with the veggies, so after that, these were created:
Obviously some more than just this one, but this one looked best. ^^
I realize most of this post has been about food, but I don't really care since I adore food. Maybe a bit too much than what's healthy for me.
As for presents, I didn't get any... yet (I hope). My mom said she ordered a Twilight T-shirt online that hasn't arrived yet, and I'll update on that as soon as I can. There's one Twilight T-shirt in the entire world that I like. The one that DOESN'T have a giant head of one of the characters on its front. Seriously, I want to be able to wear this outside of my house without feeling embarrassed... So it's the perfect one! Basically it's just a black one that says "I run with vampires" in the Twilight font, in white. Pretty basic, but perfect! Other Twilight fans will go "ooh", and non-Twilight fans will go "oh".
My dad is taking me to a guitarstore for a new electric guitar, since my last one was one I used from a friend and he asked for it back a few weeks ago. So yeah, need another guitarrrrr...
And I'll see my family soon enough, I hope, when my dad's not home... :/
So no presents to show just yet!
Although Peanut coming here is also a huge present, and we're going to London and stuff, so I'm pretty happy with those arrangements.
Anyway, something else I wanted to say is, check out the song that goes with this post, I love it, and you will too. It's not easy to find, but those of you who can't find it online, ask me and I'll send it through yahoo or skype. It's totally worth it! Goldenboy doesn't nearly get enough credit for what he deserves!
Enough with the advertising. I love you all, and I'll talk to you in my next blog. :]]
See ya! x
